The Lookout

This was a still life project for a college course. For this project, I chose to bring in my grandfather's hat and used an image from my aunt and uncle's cabin lookout in Alaska for the background landscape. I loved getting to bring the scene I had in my head to life, and it forced me to push my skills as I worked to learn how to represent 3D concepts in a 2D plan - like embroidery threads on a hat and sunlight on a pine needles.
