Bargue Drawing Study

Graphite on bristol board. This was a traditional academic art technique in which students aim to near perfectly copy a reference image by breaking the object into lines and shapes before a final rendering. We spent days poring over our references, training our eyes to pick out all the minute details. It was a challenge, but a rewarding one!
